July Book Haul

Photo 29-7-17, 4 00 44 pm

July is always a fun month for me, not only is it my birthday month, but it’s my boyfriend’s as well, so there’s always lots to look forward to. Needless to say, I’m sad July is already over, it’s been a great month with lots of time spent with friends and family which has kept me busy, but maybe August will be a bit quieter and I can get more reading done!

April Book Haul

Photo 29-4-17, 3 00 28 pm

It might seem an odd thing to say, but I really enjoyed April this year. I had such a lovely Easter and it was just a good month in general, with quite a few public holidays and shorter working weeks. It’s also starting to get raining and gloomy in Melbourne, and while I know most people don’t like cold weather, I really love it. Rainy days always make me want to curl up with a book, and I’m looking forward to the colder months.

February Book Haul

photo-26-2-17-4-34-57-pm

February has been a month of big changes for me, with a new job and longer hours spent working, I haven’t had much free time. I have to admit that books have fallen on the back burner as a result, I just haven’t had nearly as much time for reading as I used too, and have mostly been to tired when I did have time. I think that’s to be expected with a new job though, and once everything settles into a new routine I’ll be able to get back into good reading habits. Hopefully!

January Book Haul

photo-31-1-17-4-28-30-pm

First month of the year is now done and dusted. January is always a bit of a funny month, it takes a bit of time to get back into a normal routine, and to remember to write 2017 instead of 2016. Like everyone else I’ve set goals for myself this year that include everything from career, home, travel, as well as book related goals, such as creating content for this blog and my Instagram account.

December Book List

photo-1-1-17-2-38-47-pm

December is a busy month for pretty much everyone, and as much as I enjoy the Christmas period, I also find it quite exhausting, and can’t deny that I feel some amount of relief when it’s over. I would have liked to have this blog post up yesterday, but I just ended up running out of time, so it has now become my first post of 2017.

Christmas Wish List 2016

photo-10-12-16-3-14-01-pm

It’s that time of year again, and instead of going on about how I can’t believe it’s Christmas already, I’m just going to say how excited I am for Christmas. I definitely fall into the boat of people who love this time of year. My anticipation levels are high. Now is the time for gingerbread, decorations and Christmas movies. Now while here in Australia we might be wearing skirts and sandals instead of coats and knits, it’s no less festive (just in a different way). I love putting up Christmas decorations, and every year I seem to add more, but I love making my home feel festive.

Winter Reading

Photo 14-08-2016, 3 26 09 PM

It’s been a pretty cold winter in Melbourne so far (though in saying that it was actually quite a nice day today), and I can’t think of anything better to do on a winter day than to stay inside with a book. Now I’m one of those people who really loves winter, I much prefer it to summer as I don’t deal very well with the hot weather. I love the warm coats and snuggly scarves, and drinking hot chocolate or tea while rugging up with a blanket. And if you can stop yourself from getting distracted by the internet and binge watching TV shows, which I am very guilty of, then it’s a good time to catch up on your reading.

January Book List

Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset

I realised the other day that this month I have accumulated a lot of new books, both from buying them myself and receiving a few as gifts. There are just so many books that I’m loving at the moment, with plenty still on my wish list, but I thought I’d do this post just to show you 5 of the books I have on the go right now.
