April Book Haul

Photo 29-4-17, 3 00 28 pm

It might seem an odd thing to say, but I really enjoyed April this year. I had such a lovely Easter and it was just a good month in general, with quite a few public holidays and shorter working weeks. It’s also starting to get raining and gloomy in Melbourne, and while I know most people don’t like cold weather, I really love it. Rainy days always make me want to curl up with a book, and I’m looking forward to the colder months.

March Book Haul

Photo 31-3-17, 6 26 45 pm

I put myself on a book buying ban during March. I went overseas for two weeks during the middle of the month and wasn’t going to be able to carry books around with me, so there didn’t seem much point in buying books that I wouldn’t be able to read for a few weeks, also I wanted to save as much money as I could for my holiday. I definitely fall into the boat of people who love this time of year. My anticipation levels are high. Now is the time for gingerbread, decorations and Christmas movies. Now while here in Australia we might be wearing skirts and sandals instead of coats and knits, it’s no less festive (just in a different way). I love putting up Christmas decorations, and every year I seem to add more, but I love making my home feel festive.

November Book List

photo-24-11-16-2-22-00-pm

We are now at the time of the year when things start to get a little bit hectic. A lot of people get really busy with work or school, on the home stretch towards the year being over. There are Christmas parties to attend, presents to buy, decorations to put up, gingerbread to eat, the list is endless. Like all bookworms though, I still make time to pull together a book haul.
