A Court of Mist and Fury | Book Review

Okay, upon finishing the last page of this book I had to just sit in silence for a minute to take it all in. I really loved the first book in this series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, but A Court of Mist and Fury just took the story to a whole different level. Sarah J. Maas expanded upon the world she introduced us to in the first book, making the story so much richer and introducing some of the greatest new characters.

September Book List

What a great reading month September was! Well, it was for me, and hopefully for everyone else as well. Not least of all because of the release of a book that has been highly anticipated by many book lovers out there, myself very much included.

Winter Reading

It’s been a pretty cold winter in Melbourne so far (though in saying that it was actually quite a nice day today), and I can’t think of anything better to do on a winter day than to stay inside with a book. Now I’m one of those people who really loves winter, I much prefer it to summer as I don’t deal very well with the hot weather. I love the warm coats and snuggly scarves, and drinking hot chocolate or tea while rugging up with a blanket. July Book List

There are so many books on my radar at the moment, and with some books I’ve been highly anticipating being released within the next few months, I’m finding it hard to stop myself from buying all of them.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

It’s Christmas Day! Finally the day that a lot of people look forward to all year is here. I love the Christmas season, all the decorations, gingerbread and lounging around with family and friends, listening to Christmas songs. I really enjoy surrounding myself with the festive atmosphere, though I can’t deny that I always wish I lived somewhere that snowed at Christmas time, to me that is the ideal of Christmas season.

Christmas Wish List

I don’t know how it happened but scarily Christmas is less than two weeks away and now is when people start finishing off their last minute shopping for Christmas gifts. One of my favourite gifts to give and receive are books, it can be a great idea for a hard to buy for person, if they aren’t a big reader you could always go for a coffee table book on one of their favourite subjects. I think books are a really thoughtful and personal gift and can show how well you know a person.

Book Corner | Getting Inspired

As someone who is still starting out and trying to get a foot through the right doorway, I find that reading about other women who have really kicked butt within their careers really gets me inspired and makes me work that much harder towards getting the career that I want. There’s nothing cooler, and more motivating, than seeing other woman succeed.
